Yellow Jacket Invitational
General information This is a High School tournament in Ohio. View manager contact information We wish you all a day of personal best and joy in your competition experiences. WELCOME: The Perrysburg Speech and Debate Team cordially invites you to The Yellow Jacket Perrysburg Speech and Debate Tournament on Saturday, December 7nd, 2024 held in the Perrysburg High School on 13385 Roachton Rd.
Registration begins at 8:00 and rounds kick off at 9:00 (extemp prep start ASAP-maybe 8:30 in a perfect world). We plan to have fast and smaller rounds and awards by 2:30 and hopefully your team will be on the bus a rolling down I75 or I90 on time.. Check out the schedule and see if this works for you!
COST AND REGISTRATION:
Registration will be through Speechwire. Please feel free to e-mail or call if there are questions. Deadlines for registration will be Wednesday at 10:00pm, December 3rd. Changes after this time, please contact Jennifer Lake at jlake@perrysburgschools.net or 419-410-3189.
Cost is $6 per entry. (Duo and PF = $12). We are considering offering 2 Person Policy Debate and middle school events if there is enough interest. Please contact me ASAP if you would like to bring competitors in those events.
Checks or cash are required at registration.
MS Congress: will use ODD number legislation for December 6th.
JUDGES:
There will be a limited supply of judges for hire at our tournament: Cost $50. E-mail me if you need a judge assigned to your school. Judge ratios will be 1:5 and 1:2 for debate, 1 Congress judge per school. Congress judges may be placed in general pool for IE or debate. This tournament will be an electronic balloting. Judges will need their own personal devices.
CONCESSIONS:
Typical tournament foods will be available in the Commons throughout the day. Perrysburg prides itself on selections at reasonable prices. Students are encouraged to bring water bottles and use our fill stations. Light Breakfast and lunch we be provided for judges.
