Dear coaches,
You are cordially invited to the Stow-Munroe Falls Suzanne Theisen Invitational.
We will offer all OSDA main events. We will host middle school competition as well. An awards ceremony will be held at Stow-Munroe Falls HS at the conclusion of the tournament. NEW THIS YEAR: We are a NIETOC bid tournament!
Our tentative time schedule is currently listed under the Schedule tab on SpeechWire. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. We will once again be at Stow-Munroe Falls HS and at Kimpton Middle School -- we are still determining which events will be at each of the two venues. The schools are approximately 10 minutes apart.
Registration at SMFHS will be in the Library and Media Center on the first floor; teams will enter through the main entrance. Registration at Kimpton will be in the Library/Media Center on the third floor; teams will enter through the main entrance.
LD/PF will run the January topics.
Congress will use that week's OSDA docket. MS Congress will use P2-01, P2-03, and P2-05 for competition.
Extemp prep: Band and Choir classrooms
Extemp Debate Prep room: 157
FEES: $ 5.00 per person. We are implementing an entry drop fee for any drops starting Thursday at 12 a.m.
Judges: One for every 5 in IE, one for every 2 or fraction thereof in debate, 1 for every 8 in Congress.
Awards: We will recognize the top six competitors in every event and award trophies for all six. We will recognize the top six overall in Congress, though bids will be awarded using chamber-by-chamber results and not merged results.
Lunch will be purchasable at each venue. No outside food or beverage with the exception of food allergies.
Payment for the tournament will go to Stow-Munroe Falls High School.
