Welcome to the 2026 West Holt Speech Invitational!

 

We are excited to host you on February 7, 2026 with a start time of 8:00 AM and a 4:30ish finish. 

 

We will have separate novice and varsity divisions. Schools are allowed unlimited entries. Speakers may enter up to NSAA three events and duet impromptu if they wish.

 

Varsity events will have two preliminary rounds and finals unless the number of entries in the event does not warrant a final round. Novice will not have finals. NSAA rules will be followed. 

 

Medals will be given for eight places in each varsity event (although only 6 will go to finals) and six places in each novice event. A team champion and a runner-up plaque will also be awarded in each division.

 

Please provide one judge for every six entries. I may also need a couple of coaches to help in the extemp room. Let me know if you are interested.

 

Fees will be $8.00 per entry, plus $10.00 for each entry not covered by a judge. Entries are due MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH @ 9:00 PM. There will be no refunds for scratches made after WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH @ 5:00 PM. Please make checks out to West Holt Public School. After this date, please email all drops to me at tashamm@westholt.org.

 

Rolls, coffee, juice, water, and lunch will be provided in the lounge for the coaches, judges, and bus drivers. A concession stand will be available for contestants and observers. Please advise students to keep ALL food in the lunchroom.

 

Once bus drivers have dropped off students at the school's main entrance, please have them park your team’s bus in the gravel parking lot south of the school. Vans/subs may park in the main lot in front of the school.
