We would love to invite your team to attend the Silverbrook Intermediate School Forensics Tournament on Friday, January 24th. There will be two rounds for each category and MLFA rules will be followed. We are looking forward to having a DJ/ student dance, live awards, and cozy judges lounge this year! 

Registration: This year, we will be using SpeechWire! There is no password required. Our registration will open with the Week 1 Tournaments on January 4th, 2025 at 9:30 am. The entry fee is $7.00 per student. Please make checks out to Silverbrook Intermediate School. Please mail to the address below or bring it along on the day of the tournament.

Please update your entries on the Speechwire by WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15th 3:00 P.M. No ads or drops will be accepted after that date and time.

Student Dinners: Student dinners must be pre-ordered for a cost of $7.00 - $9.00 per student.  Dinners include a mini sub or regular sub (ham, turkey, or veggie), a bag of chips, a cookie, and a water bottle. Please let us know if your team plans to order meals or eat before arrival due to the later start time. If you choose to order dinners, please bring an additional check or cash to the tournament registration table. Students can bring cash to buy hotdogs, candy, chips, and drinks. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM SENT TO REGISTERED TEAMS BY FRIDAY, JANUARY 17th

Judges: Please furnish one judge for every 5 entries. Teams will be charged $80 for missing judges or judges who are a “no-show”. Please be sure that you provide trained judges, who are also registered. Food will be provided for judges.

Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to every contestant. Scores of 42 or better will earn a blue ribbon, 41 and below, a red ribbon. Medals will be awarded to the top scoring entries. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 small schools, medium schools, and large schools.

Tentative Schedule: 

4;30 p.m. Arrival/ Registration Begins. 

5:00 p.m. Student Meeting in the gym, Judges meeting in the library

5:20 p.m. Round 1 

6:00 p.m. Dinner/ break 

7:00 p.m. Round 2 

7:30 p.m. DJ/ Dance in the gym

9:00 p.m. awards in the gym
