General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a Middle School tournament in Nebraska. View manager contact information When arriving to Westridge Middle School, drop students off on the East side by the flag poles. This is the main entrance and will be where you register and cluster your team for the day. Please remind your judges that they will need to bring timers. We do not have any spares. There will be a short coaches/judges meeting at 7:45 just inside the main office to help with adds/drops and other general reminders.

Some additional information: Hello and Welcome to the Westridge Middle School invite. Westridge is located in Grand Island, Nebraska. This year we will be offering the following events for competition: Dramatic Interp, Humorous Interp, Duet, OID, Improv, Entertainment/Informative, Declamation, Persuasive, Poetry, and Extemporaneous Reading (http://174498654754472235.weebly.com/extemporaneous-reading.html). We are very excited to be hosting a middle school meet. Entry fees are $3 per event. We will have a concession stand and a judges/coaches lounge. Registration will begin at 7:00 am and first round will be at 8:00 am. We are hoping to have awards around 4:30 pm. We will have three rounds and no finals so students get lots of opportunities for feedback and to practicing speaking. Awards will be awarded in every category.
We are looking to have one judge per six entries. Judges can be high school students that you deem knowledgeable and capable of giving good, positive and constructive feedback. They can also be college students, fellow teachers, coaches, etc. Please just make sure that every judge knows that our goal is to help middle school students become better speakers as well as develop a passion for speech.
