Hello Speech Coaches!

 

The Minneota Speech Team would like to invite your teams to the Minneota Viking Invitational! Our tournament will be held on Saturday, February 8th at Minneota High School.  There will be 3 prelim rounds and no finals with first round starting 10 (Draws will begin at 9:30).  Students in grades 7-12 are eligible to compete. DOUBLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED! No triple entries. 

In addition to individual awards to the top 6 competitors, we will also have 3 team trophies up for grabs! We look forward to seeing you and your team members in March!

8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.    Registration (Please call or text last-minute drops to 507-370-0817)

            ***Please have your bus drivers park in the North Parking lot

 

We will be using all stories for storytelling. For discussion, we will have tasks from both sections of the outline. There will be no poetry selections in Extemperaneous Reading. We will be using all selections for Extemperaneous Reading. STUDENTS WILL ALSO DRAW IN ROUND 3!

Registration:   You may bring as many students as you like and DOUBLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED. 

Judges: Please provide one judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof.  VERY few judges are available for hire - please send a separate email to me if you are planning on hiring one.  There will be lunch for the judges in the lounge. Our judge fee is $100.

Fees: $7.00 per entry.  Duo pairs $14.00.  Make checks payable to Minneota Speech Team.

Concessions:  We will have a $5 meal deal. Other concession items available as well.
