It is our pleasure to extend this invitation to you for the first ever Ogallala Novice Speech Meet to be held on Friday January 24, 2020 at Ogallala High School. Registration starts at 2pm, with the meet starting at 2:30pm.   We will offer competition in each of the 9 NSAA speech events, with two rounds and finals. Six places will be awarded in each event. There will be no sweepstakes. Remember, this is a Novice Meet, so only “first year contestants” will be eligible to compete.

ENTRY FEES are $5.00 for each entry. We would like to have your experienced senior students to judge prelims. They will not be judging their own classmates. Therefore, you must provide 1 experienced senior or adult for each six entries. Finals will be judged by adult coaches. Hired judges are $50.00 each. Please do your best to cover your entries; we only have a limited supply of judges. 

CONCESSIONS/Student Hangout will be located in the Commons Area Cafeteria located in the front of the building. Concession food will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be provided in the hospitality room for all coaches/judges in the Family and Consumer Science room.

SCHEDULE will be crafted around entries, and will be sent out on Thursday January 23rd.  

REGISTRATION for your team will be through Speech Wire. Entries will open on Monday January 20th, and will close on Thursday January 23rd at noon. Minor drops and adds will be accepted on contest day.
