Dear Coach and Squad,

 

            The Park Hill Debate and Forensics Squad cordially invite you to participate in the 8th Annual Park Hill Crabtree Classic speech and debate tournament on January 31 and Feb 1, 2020.  Please note the return to our traditional date.  

Crabtree Classic Information

            We will host Championship divisions of Lincoln-Douglas, Policy Debate, and Public Forum Debate.  Individual Events will be Varsity divisions of Foreign and Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Radio Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation,  , INFORMATIVE SPEAKING, PROGRAMMED ORAL INTERP,and Children’s Storytelling.  We will also feature a Student Congress which will be divided into the Senate and Houses as needed.  Please plan to bring one experienced judge for every two teams you enter in Policy Debate and one for every four teams in Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum Debate. Please bring one qualified judge for every 6 IE’s entered.  WE ARE A NIETOC QUALIFIER THIS YEAR.  We will take all the judging help you can provide.   We are sanctioned in the states of Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa, California, Arkansas, Minnesota and a whole host of other states just ask. 

 

            Entries are due on or before Monday, January 27th, at 3:00 p.m.  Every effort will be made to grant extra entries.  Entry confirmation will be mailed or emailed to you on January 28th  2020.  Varsity rounds will be held at Park Hill,  A coach and adult judge hospitality room will be provided.  Some coach judging will occur, so please be available.

 

            Rules of competition and events are enclosed.  Please note the new time schedule.  It is our goal to provide an enjoyable and enlightening competition experience for your students.  One final note we are pleased to announce that this year's tournament will be a qualifying tournament for the Individual Events Tournament of Champions.  You may direct your internet browser to http://www.nietoc.com/general-information.asp for more information
