Registration the day of the tournament is as follows:

Individual Event and Debate registration is 8:00-8:30.  If at all possible, register by 8:15.

High School and Middle School INDIVIDUAL EVENTS are to register in room 121 (the big computer lab by the front entrance) of the HIGH SCHOOL.

High School and Middle School DEBATE AND CONGRESS will register in the cafeteria of the MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Our school has undergone some renovations, so we are planning on two buildings.  If registration is small enough, we will condense to one.

Tentative Time Schedule:

8:00-8:30 Registration

8:30-9:00 Judge briefings in cafeterias at both buildings.   Extemp draw in the media center at 8:30.   All other IE competitors report to the gym for opening announcements.

Awards: 1:00 in the high school gymnasium if the speech gods smile on us!

Extemp, Debate, and Congress Concerns:

Extemp prep is in the media center on the second floor of the high school.  According to OSDA rules, we will run a three round draw.

Debate will use the NSDA topics for December.

Congress will use the OSDA docket to that week. See OSDA.org to print this out.  Out of district teams unfamiliar with congress tabulation in Ytown can ask for clarification if you need it.

Students are expected to remain in the building for lunch.

The tabroom is by invitation.  If you are interested in working, please contact Jeremy Hamilton at Canfield.  We will be arranging tabroom assignments.

Directions to buildings? Send me an email.

Hope everyone is well and the season is going great!  Look forward to seeing everyone.  I’ll send you updates as I get them.
