We will offer the following events:

Policy debate (please note the novice specific rules pertaining to this event): Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce Direct Commercial Sales and/or Foreign Military Sales of arms from the United States.

Lincoln-Douglas debate: Resolved: In the United States, colleges and universities ought not consider standardized tests in undergraduate admissions decisions.

Public Forum debate: Resolved: The European Union should join the Belt and Road Initiative.

Extras will be given according to room availability and in the order received.  Additionally, each school must provide one judge for every two teams entered in policy and one judge for every four entries in Lincoln-Douglas and public forum.  Please request only as many entries as you can provide judges.

Judge Notes:

  • Please enter your judge names in Speechwire.
  • Your student judges will also be the time keeper for the round.
  • NO ORAL CRITIQUES ARE TO BE GIVEN!  Any judge found giving oral critiques will be asked to leave and entries not covered will be dropped.

The entry deadline is Wednesday, October 16th, 2019.

Please pay special attention to the schedule as it will be an eventful two days.  We look forward to seeing you in October.

Sincerely,
