This is the official invitation to the 2019 Mentor Speech and Debate Tournament.  

When:  Saturday, November 23, 2019
Where:  Mentor High School     6477 Center Street (RT. 615) Mentor, Ohio 44060

Registration Deadline:  Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10pm
Cost $4 per student

We will have food for students and the judges.

General Info:  All events: IE, Policy, LD, PF, Big Qs and Congressional Debate. Plus, Novice Policy Debate. Plus the OSDA Middle School events.

Judge requirements:

Policy - 1 Judge per 1 or 2  entries
        
Lincoln/Douglas - 1 Judge per 1 or 2 entries


Big Questions - 1 Judge per 1 or 2 entries
     
Public Forum - 1 Judge per 1 or 2 entries
      
Individual Events - 1 Judge for up to 5 entries
 (2 for 6-10, 3 for 11 - 15, etc.)
          
Congress – 1 Judge per school entering the event

Please register judges by Thursday, November 21 at 10 PM.


Check in:  Check in will be from 8:00am to 8:30am.  Please be prompt, we would like to begin Round I promptly at 9:00am.  Extemp draw is scheduled for 8:31am.
Debate Topics – We will use the November resolutions.  
Congress will use the state docket for Nov 23.

Middle School Congress will use items 1, 2, 3, 9, 10 on the OSDA Middle School docket.

Novice Policy Debate will run if we have enough entries to make it viable.

All events - enter as many kids as you want.  We'll find a place to put them.

In addition to all the typical fun stuff, we are offering a craft show in our gym. Bring holiday spending money for your down time.
