Dear Speech Coaches,

The Browerville/Eagle Valley/Bertha-Hewitt Speech Teams invites you to the 2nd Annual Tigers, Bears, Oh My! Speech Invitational. We would be thrilled to have your team join us for an enthralling day of competition which will be held at Browerville School. We will be offering all thirteen categories plus an additional category of Improvisational Speaking.

Rules for ImSp: Speakers will draw 2 characters, setting, and plot scenario which they will use to create an improvisational sketch/story. All elements must be used, however, additional minor characters may be added. The speakers will speak no longer than 7 mins. with 30 mins. to prepare.

Team awards will be given to the top three schools. Team trophies will be calculated in the following manner: each contestant will contribute to their team's score, then divided by their number of entries. Therefore, small teams have just as much a chance as the large ones. Medals will be awarded to the top three finalists. All other finalists will receive a finalist ribbon.

The registration deadline will be Friday, February, 15th. Please enter the names of your contestants and their category(s). All add and drops must be received by 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21st—after this you are financially responsible for any additional changes. Please submit your payment when you register. Make checks payable to Browerville Public Schools.

Please provide 1 judge for every 6 entries. If you wish to hire judges from us, we will need to know ASAP. We will do our best to accommodate. The cost will be $90 for each uncovered judge.

Concessions will be available as well as the Coffee Club. Food will be provided for all judges and coaches.

* Please unload by the gymnasium doors.

* Note: draw categories should come prepared for round 1 this includes Improvisational Speaking.
