Dear colleagues and friends,

We would like to cordially invite you to the 2019 Viking Invitational at Western Washington University on January 25-27. We look forward to you joining us in Bellingham for a great weekend of speech and debate competition and the conclusion of the Northwest Forensics Conference sweepstakes season!

In keeping with tradition, we will host speech events on Friday evening and Saturday, and debate events on Saturday and Sunday.

We will uphold the NFC code of conduct and require that all participants representing an NFC school (directors, coaches, judges, students) have received appropriate Title IX training concerning the prevention of sexual harassment and assault to be eligible for NFC sweepstakes points. Directors can certify their participants via Speechwire.com.

Given that there is a new Head Viking at the helm, we encourage you to be proactive (and subsequently patient) with any questions or concerns related to this year’s event, as finding answers and solutions might take more time this year. While Bellingham in January is dark and grey, we are excited for a lively weekend of competition, community-building, and fun this January! We hope you will attend.
