Hello Coaches,

 

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Michael Arrigoni, the new Head Coach here at Cary Grove. I am very excited to carry the torch from Stephanie. Let's have a great season!

 

Welcome to the Annual Cary-Grove Winter Invite 2018. This competition will be a Varsity Competition. We are so excited to host wonderful teams and competitors. This year, our theme will be again be Star Wars: Jedis. 

 

Entry fees for teams with less than 28 entries (2 slots per event) is $175. Teams with 28-42 (or requiring 3 entries in an event) will be asked to pay $225 per team. We have done our best historically to accommodate large teams. We hope to continue to do this. Should you need additional entries, please email as soon as possible. While we cannot guarantee extra entries, we will try our best to allow students to compete as long as we have the space and the judges to support this. 

 

Entry fees should be sent to Cary-Grove High School, 2208 Three Oaks Road, Cary, IL 60013. Please make the attention out to the Cary-Grove Speech Team. Entry fees are required at the beginning of the tournament on Saturday, December 2nd. If this is not possible, please contact the tournament manager, Michael Arrigoni at marrigoni@d155.org. Documentation from the school stating that a check is pending is required. We enjoy hosting your teams. 

 

Teams will be asked to provide 1 judge per every 6 entries. Judges are expected to stay for the full day (including final rounds). All teams will be responsible for final round judging entries as assigned. 

 

The rounds will be flighted, but we run very much on time (or early). We will follow the schedule below:

 

Registration 7:00 AM

Coaches/Judges Meeting: 7:45 AM

Round 1: 8:30

Round 2: 9:45

Round 3: 11:00

Final rounds will begin at 2:00 PM 

 

Prep Events:

 

Awards will start promptly at 4 PM or before. We will hopefully be completely done by 4:30 PM. We've beaten that time in the past!
