Floyd Central High School invites your debate team to the Highlander Howl. 
 
All NSDA debate events: Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, Policy, Congress, World Schools, and Big Questions.  No speech events.
 
Registration: Entries must be submitted via http://www.speechwire.com .  You must mark your school attending by Monday, December 3, 2018. All entries must be received by Wednesday, December 5, 2018, by 5:00 P.M. EST.
 
No limit to entries!
 
No doubling allowed.  
 
Electronic information retrieval devices will be allowed under NSDA rules.
 
Congress:  Bills will be released one week before the tournament. 
 
World Schools:  Prepared topics will be released one week prior to the meet. 
 
They can be found in the �Files to Download� section of SpeechWire.  
 
The tournament will consist of two straight rounds then two power-matched rounds.
 
Registration begins at 8:00 A.M. Rounds will be at 9:00 A.M., 10:15 A.M., 11:45 A.M., and 1:15 P.M.  Awards are scheduled for 3:00 P.M.
 
Judges: Each school must bring one trained judge per three entries (or fraction thereof). 
 
A hospitality room for judges will be provided. 
 
Awards: Ribbons will be presented to the top eight in each category. There will be no separation of novice and varsity. The top five schools at large will receive sweepstakes trophies. 
 
Food:  Teams will congregate in the Cafeteria. Concessions will be available. Please encourage students to purchase concessions to help defray tournament expenses. 
 
Hotel:  Louisville is nearby; however, we recommend the Hampton Inn (812-944-4600) and the Best Western Plus (812-945-2771) in New Albany within ten minutes of Floyd Central.
