You are cordially invited to the 2018 Waverly Forensics Classic Invitational to be held Saturday, March 3, 2018.

 

You may register for events via the speechwire website.  Due to the size of our facilities, we can only accommodate 20 schools.  The first 20 schools to indicate they will be attending via SpeechWire will be able to register for events.  

 

Our tournament will be flighted with registration running from 8:00 to 8:30 am.  A General Meeting will be held at 8:45 am in the auditorium.

 

We are offering Varsity & Novice* rounds/finals in all NSAA Individual Events but Varsity-Only Duet Acting and OID. For all individual events, top six advance to finals. Top 4 OID & DA will advance to finals with medals given out to the top 6 groups. Each school may have up to four entries in each event in any combination of varsity and novice.  The exception is Duet and OID, which may only have two.  

 

For clarity's sake: A novice is defined as a contestant new to speech. In other words, in order to qualify as a novice, it must be the contestants first year on the team, (even if s/he has never competed in a particular event). 

 

Team registration deadline is Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 12:00 AM. Drops/adds may be made through Wednesday, February 28, 2018 by 4 PM, at which time fees are locked in. Entries are $7 per event. Please provide a judge for every 5 entries. Uncovered entries are assessed a $15 fee per entry, but we prefer that you bring vetted judges in lieu of payment. Due to high numbers of dropped judges in years' past, we are now assessing a $10 dropped judge fee if you drop your judge after Tuesday, Feb 27, 2018 at 12:00 AM.
