The Xavier HS Forensics Team is pleased to welcome you to the Hawk's Nest Forensics Touranment on Saturday, March 10th, 2018!  We are looking forward to a full day of exciting, high quality competition and can't wait to welcome you to our school.  Some helpful information:
*Competition will be held in one building, Xavier High School.  
*A light lunch will be provided for coaches and judges.  We are working with local food trucks to offer a variety of affordable meal choices for purchase by students and adults. More details to come soon!
*Rounds: Each category will have competition scheduled for three of four possible time slots today.  That means every (single entered) competitor will compete three rounds and have one round off to observe.  Encourage your students to support their friends and team mates, check out something new, or just watch something fun during their round off! 
Registration - 7:30 - 8:00am
Extemp/Radio Draw - 8:00am in HS Library,
Rounds will begin at 8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am, and 11:30am.  Power Round times will vary and will begin at the conclusion of the final preliminary round.   
Awards: 2:45pm (or earlier if we can swing it!)
*OIL order and Storytelling order will be determined by random drawing at 7am, March 10th.

ENTRIES: Each school may submit up to 25 varsity entries. No more than 4 varsity entries per category. Double entries are allowed until building capacity has been reached, but it is the student's responsibility to inform the judge of their status. 
FEES: Entry fees are $10.00 per individual entry and $15.00 per group entry. Schedules will be adjusted to account for adds and drops until 4:00pm on Friday, March 10th. After that time add and drop requests should be sent to Mariah Ervin at mervin@xaviercatholicschools.org.  
JUDGES: Each school must provide one judge for every five entries or portion thereof. We have a limited number of hired judges available for you at a cost of $125 per judge. Teams with over 50 entries/10 judges are required to hire judges from the tournament. Total entries are not capped.
AWARDS: Individual trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. All finalists will receive medals. Team trophies will be awarded to the the top three large teams, top two medium teams, and top two small teams with more than 5 entries.
RULES: All WFCA rules will be followed. Please note changes from last year. We will offer Oratorical Declamation. NCFL rules and critiques will be used.  If you are interested, more information on this event can be found at: http://www.ncfl.org/declamation. 
FOOD: On Saturday, a light lunch will be provided for judges and coaches at the high school. We are working with local food trucks to offer a variety of affordable meal choices for students and adults.  More details to come soon!
