Dear UIL Academics Coordinators and Coaches,

 

The Medina Valley High School UIL Academics program cordially invites you to participate in our Set-A UIL Tournament on January 16, 2027. This event will feature all of the high school UIL events including speech and debate and hands-on Computer Science. Academics may cross enter in speech and debate events at their own risk. The tournament will follow the posted schedule, rounds will not be held, and speaker order will not be adjusted due to academic cross entries. 

 

Extemporaneous Speaking will follow UIL rules

Prose and Poetry will follow UIL rules for performance and timing, will not have documentation check, and will be readers choice for all rounds

LD will use the UIL Spring topic

CX will use the Healthcare resolution and follow UIL rules

 

Coaches and bus drivers will have a hospitality room. 

 

We ask that all entries be submitted as soon as possible; Registration closes on December 19th. We will allow drops and revisions without a fee through January 9th as I know things change over the break. If there is an issue, please feel free to email me. Please have payment, or Approved PO, ready at registration..
