Regis Jesuit Novice Tournament
We are thrilled to invite you to this year’s Regis Jesuit Novice Tournament!
Location: Regis Jesuit High School, 6356 Lewiston Way, Aurora CO 80016
Competition will be in the Girl's Division building, a map will be sent to coaches the week of the tournament.
Date: October 3, 2026
Time: 8:00-3:00 (approximate)
Another year of Speech & Debate is beginning. Get excited!
Registration
Deadline: Please register by Wednesday, September 30th, 5 pm.
Limit: Per tradition, we will accept up to five (5) entries in each event.
Cost: $7 per single student event, $12 per team (duo, policy, PF) event.
Payment: Make checks payable to Regis Jesuit High School with note "Speech & Debate."
Judges: Teams will be expected to bring one varsity student judge for every five speech entries and one judge for every two debate entries. We will do our best to use all student judges every round by doubling up on speech judges(when possible). Please explain to students that the more events they're willing to judge, the better the chance that we'll get to use them every round.
Ballots: Ballots for the tournament will be done virtually, through Speechwire. Please have all judges bring devices and chargers with them.

Platform: Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking (National and International)
Interpretive: Humor, Drama, Poetry, Duo, Program Oral Interpretation
Debate: Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, Policy Debate, Congressional Debate
Topics:
Lincoln Douglas - Resolved: Outer space colonization is a moral imperative.
Public Forum – Resolved: The United States federal government should enact a moratorium on hyperscale data center construction.
Policy – Resolved: The United States federal government should establish national health insurance in the Unitd States.
Congress - Docket will be available on SpeechWire one week prior to the tournament
