In summary:
Judge Requirements: Each school is responsible for supplying its own judges. One qualified judge is required for every five team registered entries (1:5). Teams unable to cover their obligation may purchase uncovered/hired judging at $100 per uncovered judge.
All judges will be required to complete and meet a set of H.E.R.D. judge training and certification requirements. This certification is provided online by Zebrapad at no additional cost to you, and will help you build a stronger judging pool for future tournaments!
Tournament Fees:
Single Tournament: $100/team
Each tournament registration includes up to 50 entries. $2/entry beyond 50.
Payment: Registering on SpeechWire does NOT hold your entries spots in the tournament. All entries will be waitlisted until team registration fee payment has been received.
We strongly recommend you pay electronically via the Zebrapad Speech website to ensure fees are received before the tournament starts as not to risk your team’s participation.
If you need to pay by check, please have it sent in September to ensure we get it in time. If you require an invoice in advance, please fill out our Invoice Request form. We will NOT accept a purchase order or picture of a check as proof of payment.
