Macalester College, in St. Paul, Minnesota, is pleased to host an online, end-of-season competition for novice Moot Court teams. The Macalester Moot Court Novice Championship is an undergraduate-only moot court tournament employing the American Moot Court Association (AMCA) hypothetical case and using the AMCA ballot. With a guarantee of six rounds of competition and an emphasis on judging by those with AMCA experience, we know this competition will be both a great competition and a chance to build for the future.

This tournament will be conducted via Zoom. The tournament begins in the late afternoon on Friday, December 4th, and concludes on the late afternoon of Saturday, December 5th, with a final round and results ceremony. Attractive trophies will be mailed to both the top 10 teams and individuals.

Eligible competitors should be in their first year of college-level moot court competition. Appreciating the ambiguities that may allow, we offer a ceiling: no competitor shall have entered an AMCA regional tournament prior to the Fall 2026 season. 

You may enter up to five teams at $60 per team, which covers the cost of trophies, mailing, and Speechwire tournament services.
