Titan Invitational
General information This is a High School tournament in Nebraska. View manager contact information
Greetings, Coaches! I am pleased to invite you and your team to attend the 6th Annual Titan Speech Invitational, scheduled THIS SEASON ONLY for Monday, March 1, 2027, in Genoa. While our invitational has been highly successful and highly competitive each season in early January, the construction of our new building necessitates a date change and limiting of entries for the 2026-2027 season.
The good news: this date will allow our pool of veteran judges to provide end-of-the-season ideas to polish your students’ performances before district and state competitions.
We will offer competition in all ten NSAA speech events. Mirroring districts, schools are limited to two entries per event. However, each school is also allocated three wildcard entries (in individual events only) in case a team is still wrestling with making their decision concerning top two selection in different events for districts and state. No school will have more than 23 total entries.
We will be accepting online registrations at SpeechWire. We will be using SpeechWire to facilitate the tournament, and all results will be available online on the SpeechWire website. The entry deadline will be Tuesday, February 23, 2027 at 3:30 pm, but we will enforce a hard cap of 16 schools. If you are interested in a late-season meet this coming year, please let me know at your earliest convenience to lock in your spot.
Competition Schedule
Our tournament will tentatively run as follows:
7:00 Registration Opens
7:50 Drop/Add Meeting
8:00 Round 1, Flight A
9:30 Round 1, Flight B
11:00 Round 2, Flight A
12:30 Round 2, Flight B
2:30 Finals (All Events; All Levels)
4:00 Awards Ceremony
All students will compete in two preliminary rounds. From there, the following events will take the top 6 entries to a Champs Finals and the next 6 entries to an Honors Finals: INFO, PER, ENT, EXT, HUM, SER, POE, POI, and DUET. OID will take the top 4 entries to a Champs Finals, the next top 4 to an Honors Finals, and entries 9-12 to a Merit Finals.
Team sweepstakes will be determined using final-round placings only.
Students may be triple-entered in the competition. Please ensure your extemporaneous speakers understand that they MUST be on time for extemporaneous draw/prep.
You will need to provide one judge for every SIX ENTRIES. The fee for uncovered entries will be $75 for every 6 uncovered entries. Please be sure that your judges are aware we are using e-ballots, bring their device with them, have a way to time the presenters, and are aware that they need to be available for all final rounds. A hospitality room for coaches, judges, and bus drivers will be available throughout the day.
Fees are $8.00 per entry, individual or group. Fees should be paid upon registration on the morning of the tournament.
Thank you for considering attending our meet, and we hope to see you at Twin River! Please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to attend. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Anderson – Twin River Speech
