General Information/Reminders

Videos are due by Monday evening, March 2, 2026. Click the "Registration" icon here, and then the icon for Video links.
You must enter one WISDAA-certified adjudicator for every five entries or fraction thereof, in each division (standard and delayed) in which your school has entries.  You will enter these individuals by clicking the gavel icon, Update your judges.

Limited Preparation Materials

Coaches must share each set of materials for each round with each student at different times; not all at once.  You will share, the student will prep, record; then you will repeat for each subsequent round. Most do this in person, though you can also do so via videoconference or email message.

ExtempFor each round, the coach will arrange a time with each contestant to share five questions, of which the contestant will select one. The coach does not need to video record prep time.  A video of that contestant’s presentation should be recorded and finalized with the coach immediately following their 30 minutes of prep (for remote recording -- when a student is not physically with you -- allow up to 15 more minutes for technical considerations).

> Click for questions (to be posted Monday, Feb. 10)

ImpromptuFor each round, the coach will arrange a time to record each contestant and will present each contestant with three (3) randomly-selected questions, beginning recording and timing once the contestant selects their prompt, and recites it aloud. A video of that contestant’s presentation should be recorded and finalized with the coach (for remote recording -- when a student is not physically with you -- allow up to 15 more minutes for technical considerations).

RadioFor each round, the coach will arrange a time with each contestant to share a packet. The coach does not need to video record prep time. A video of that contestant’s presentation should be recorded and finalized with the coach immediately following their 30 minutes of prep (for remote recording -- when a student is not physically with you -- allow up to 15 more minutes for technical considerations). We are using a Google Doc-based packet; the links below will copy the packet into the student's own Google Drive to then edit. We are encourage students to use their device (computer/tablet/etc.) to directly edit their script and cut it to the 5-minute newscast.
