Wrightstown Blue Rose Tournament
General information This is a High School tournament in Wisconsin. View manager contact information
Every gardener would love to raise a blue rose.
People would come from afar to see it.
It is rare and different and beautiful...
The Wrightstown High School forensics team encourages you to travel afar to our Blue Rose Tournament on Saturday, February 7, where we are committed to making your experience rare and different and beautiful.
ENTRIES
Double and Triple entering is permitted at this tournament; however, students may not double/triple in BOTH extemp and radio. We will do our best to accommodate as many entries as possible, and depending on numbers we may use multiple buildings, all within walking distance.
You may enter as many students in an event as desired, but only the top four will count toward a team's total points. A team's top 25 entries will count for total sweepstakes points.
We will run three preliminary rounds and one final round, depending on the total number of entries per event. If some categories have lower numbers, a final round may not be necessary to determine awards.
While we are running a WFCA tournament, as a team that participates in both associations, we extend a warm welcome to our WISDAA friends! Accommodations will be made to account for rules differences between the associations. Please reach out with any questions.

JUDGES
Please provide one qualified judge for every five entries or fraction thereof. Hired judges are available at a cost of $140 per uncovered entry (for instance, if you have 17 entries and bring three judges, you’ll be charged $140 for the uncovered entries). You must provide the number of judges you indicate on your registration as of Wednesday, February 1st and any additional judges to accommodate late adds. Please contact us in advance if you have a judge who is uncomfortable completing online ballots as we wish to provide appropriate accommodations.
FEES
$10 per individual entry and $15 per Duo, Group Interpretation, or Play Acting entry. Please make checks payable to Wrightstown High School and mail to Wrightstown High School, ℅ David Winkler, 600 High Street, Wrightstown, WI, 54180.
AWARDS
The top three finalists in each category will receive trophies. All other finalists will receive medals. The highest scoring double and triple entered students will also receive awards.
Team divisions will be determined based on actual entries on Saturday, and team awards will be presented to the top three teams in each of three divisions: Large Team, Medium Team, and Small Team. Large Team awards will be based on total sweepstakes points earned, while Medium and Small Team awards will be based on points per entry. We will do our best to balance the number of teams in each division.
FOOD
Concessions will be available for purchase by students. Coaches, judges, and bus drivers will all be provided with a variety of food options throughout the day in the judges’ lounge.
