The Chisago Lakes and North Branch Area Speech Teams are thrilled to invite you to the second year of our tournament: The Victor's Valentine Invitational!

 

Date:           Saturday, February 21th, 2026

 

Location:       Chisago Lakes High School, 29400 Olinda Trail, Lindstrom, MN 55045

 

Categories:     All 13 MSHSL categories, POI, and CA!

 

Format:         Three rounds plus finals (finals will not be held for categories that have fewer than 6 students competing)

 

Registration: Initial Registration should be done before February 8th so Judges can be finalized.  Registration is due by the end of the day on Thursday, February 19th. We will run the tournament at 8:00am on Saturday, February 21st, so please have your last-minute drops updated by then. Adds will only be allowed after Friday if they do not increase the number of sections.

 

Arrival: Please enter the school using Door #33.  We will be having a judges' meeting at 8:40.

 

Entries: Double entries will be allowed, with the exception of double-entering in discussion combined with a draw event. Triple entries may be available for non-LP categories.

 

Fees: $8 per entry 

 

Food: Food will be provided for coaches, judges, and bus drivers. There will be concessions available for students. Valentine Heart-o-Grams will be available for sale to send to students from another school as well. 

 

Draws: All stories/poems will be included for Extemp. Reading and Storytelling. Students may not repeat a selection from an earlier round.

 

Discussion: TBD

 

Awards: We have individual and team awards.
