Hello Speech Coaches!

 

The Adrian Dragon Jr. High Invitational will be held on Tuesday, February 24th at the Adrian Middle/High School. Registration is through SpeechWire.

 

We will run three rounds with no final and Round I will begin at 4:00. (Draws begin at 3:30 p.m.)  You will register by the high school office, which is located on the east side of the school.  School will be in session, so please stay in the designated team area until 3:15.  Draws will be held in the library, doors may be found in both the 200 and 300 hallways.

 

Schedule

Registration: 3:00-3:30

Draws for Round I are at 3:30

Round 1: 4:00

Draws for Round II are at 4:45

Round 2: 5:15

Round 3: 6:30

Awards:  Approximately 8:15

 

Discussion: We will send out questions for the junior high discussion participants a couple days in advance. This hopefully allows the younger students to have more productive rounds. I will email those questions through Speechwire. 

 

Awards should hopefully move smoothly (I will use an "on deck" system where the next category on stage will be called and wait on the sides to help keep things moving) which will allow us to get out by about 8:45 hopefully!

 

Registration:  Double Entries are allowed  

 

Fees:  $7.00 per entry.  Duos - $14.  Please make checks payable to Adrian High School or AHS.  Please turn in checks at registration or mail them to: Adrian High School, PO Box 40, Adrian, MN 56110

 

Judges:  Please provide 1 judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof.  Judges should be prepared to judge all events.  There will be no judges available for hire.

 

Concessions:  There will be a concession stand available.

 

Entry Deadline:  Please submit your registrations via SpeechWire no later than Friday, February 20th at 3:00 p.m.  Drops and adds may be made to registrations up to Monday, February 23rd at noon without penalty.   You may continue to drop students after that time, but you will still be charged for your entries as of Tuesday.
