The Howland forensics program is hosting The Youngstown Winterfest on THURSDAY, January 22nd. This will be a HIGHG SCHOOL ONLY event All competition will occur at the high school-- 200 Shaffer Drive, Warren, Ohio 44484
Currently, we are offering 3 rounds in all IE and Debate. We will be hosting a student congress. Plan on two congress chambers merging for awards.
We are also offering Middle School speech and congress(no MS Debate).
Registration is Due by 3:00 pm on FRIDAY January 16th. Drops after that time will be charged.
Cost per student is $4.00. CHECKS PAYABLE TO HOWLAND BOOSTER CLUB
Debate and Congress will use NSDA topics and OSDA congress docket for January 24th.
Enter as many students as you like in all events. DOUBLED ENTRIES PERMITTED. Mark 3 entries in each event as varsity. Depending on numbers students should expect to compete against teammates.
The building will be open as early as 3:30 PM. Registration will close at 4:30. We will not break for dinner but full concessions will be ready upon your arrival.
Please confirm your school's attendance and tentative numbers ASAP.
Judges should be entered by 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 21st.
Note: We have the space for small sections and it should move fast. I hope to have everyone heading home by 8:30. WE NEED EXTRA JUDGES TO MAKE THIS WORK. Coaches who normally do not judge may be asked to pitch in if we run short.
All other logistics will be sent once we get tentative numbers and interested schools.
