Oakwood Golden Acorn Tournament

Hello!
Your Speech and Debate team is cordially invited to Oakwood High School's Golden Acorn in Dayton, Ohio on January 3rd, 2026. We are excited to continue tournament hosting.
Registration will run from 7:30-8:00 a.m. at Oakwood High School. The tournament will be held on December January 3rd in Oakwood High School and Smith Elementary. Bus parking is available in the lot behind Smith Elementary. The plan as of right now is to run debate events in OHS, and IE in Smith. We will start with event caps of 4. Add your additional students to the waitlist, we will prioritize entries who have minimal impact on room count and will approve as many as we can. More details to come. Please contact me if you need information on hotels in the area.
We will offer four rounds of IE, five rounds of LD and PF Debate, and three 90-minute sessions in Congress. Awards will be given to the top 6 in all categories.
LD and PF will be using the published January topics found on NSDA, while Congress will be using the OSDA docket found at https://sites.google.com/theosda.org/theosda
Please, make checks payable to Oakwood High School. Food and beverages will be available to the students for purchase for breakfast and lunch.
