The Conestoga Speech Team cordially invites you and your team to the 12th annual Conestoga “Trendsetters” Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 21, 2026. 

 

We will offer two preliminary rounds and finals of all ten NSAA events.  Medals will be awarded for 1st-6th place in each event and plaques will be given to the top two sweepstakes teams. We are proud to be a NIETOC bid tournament this year.  Depending on the number of entries will determine how many finalists will earn bids, this will be communicated with you once registration closes.

 

 

From the NIETOC:

 

Bids are gained at the following levels:

0-19 contestants = FIRST PLACE BID

20-34 contestants = FIRST, SECOND & THIRD PLACE BIDS

35-50 contestants = FINAL ROUND BIDS

51-70 contestants = SEMIFINAL ROUND BIDS (HONORS FINALS)

71-99 contestants = QUARTERFINAL ROUND BIDS (MERIT FINALS)

100 + contestants = OCTAFINAL ROUND BIDS (CONSOLATION FINALS)

 

 

Entries must be in by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18th.  Due to construction at our school, we will cap the meet at 250 entries.  We also ask that you limit your entries to no more than 3 individuals in an event and only two entries per school in group events.  I may have room available for certain events after registration closes, so if you have an event in which you want to enter additional students, please email me names and events and I can see what I can do. Please know this may result in your students hitting each other in preliminary rounds. Fees for the tournament will be $8 per slot.  Each judge you provide will cover 5 slots.  We have been very limited on judges in the past, so please make a conscious effort to provide judges for all your entries. There will be a $75 fee for any uncovered judges you may have. Checks should be made out to Conestoga High School.  

 

Schedule has been updated for 2026 - please see the updated schedule by clicking the Tournament Schedule tab on Speechwire.  Subscriptions will be open for all competitors, coaches, and judges to have rounds blasted to them via text or email.  Please encourage your students and judges to subscribe to their events.  

 

A concession stand will be available all day for students to purchase lunch and snacks.  A hospitality room will be provided for all judges and coaches.
