Dear Coaches and Competitors,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the Fall 2025 Lucky 7 Asynchronous Invitational! We are excited to host this year's Fall 2025 Lucky 7 asynchronously in conjunction with the AFA-NST District 7 Fall Qualifier scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024 on Zoom. We hope you will join us for an exciting week of speech competitions.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION 1. Students may enter a maximum of six events; two duos count as two events. 2. Entries are due via SpeechWire no later than Monday, November 10th, at 11:59 pm EST. Entries without video links at that time will be dropped. 3. The same event recording will be used for preliminary and final rounds. Please ensure the video is “unlisted” on YouTube rather than set to “private” so that judges can successfully view the recording. It is important that you confirm your team’s video links are accurate and accessible by the registration deadline. 4. LP prompts will be released as a downloadable file on SpeechWire at 11:59 EST on Friday, November 7th. Students must only use their allotted 30 minutes of preparation time for Extemp and only 7 minutes total for Impromptu to prep and speak. For Impromptu, students must include their prep time in their recording. Students should not include their prep time for extemp in their recording.
ENTRY FEES AND JUDGE REQUIREMENTS 1. Entry fees will include a $25 base team fee plus $8 per event slot. 2. Please provide a qualified judge for every six events. All uncovered slots will incur an additional $15 fee. The tournament director reserves the right to limit the number of uncovered slots per team due to tournament needs. 3. Any judges dropped after ballots have been released will each be assessed a $150 fee. 4. Any judges failing to turn ballots in on time will each be assessed a $100 fee (unless arrangements have been made in advance with the tournament director). 5. Invoices will be sent out directly by the tournament director following the completion of the tournament.
RECENT AFA-NST CHANGES We will use AFA-style rules and tabulation. All relevant AFA-NST legislation for regular-season qualifying tournaments will guide the tournaments’ policies as applicable.

Tuesday, Nov. 11th 9am EST: Prelim ballots released to judges!
Thursday, Nov. 13th 5pm EST: All prelim ballots due! 6pm EST: Finals ballots released to judges!
Friday, Nov. 14th 5pm EST: Finals ballots due! ASAP: Final Results posted to Speechwire
