SACFL #3 2025 @ Samuel W. Wolfson High School

 

Dear Forensics Friends,

 

You and your teams are cordially invited to participate in the St. Augustine Catholic Forensics League (SACFL) 3rd meet of the 2025-26 season. The tournament will be hosted by Samuel W. Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, FL, on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Huge thanks go to Missy Losure and her Wolfpack students and parents for hosting us! Additionally, kudos to Shannon Southam of Keystone Heights Jr/Sr High for serving as our tournament director.

 

This competition will feature Congress, Declamation, Just Talk, Dramatic Performance, Duo Interp, Oral Interp, Original Oratory, Program Oral Interp, Impromptu, Extemp, Info, Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum, Extemp Debate, and Policy Debate (CX). 

 

Students are allowed to double enter----- with this caveat----attempting any combination of Policy Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking for double entry is not allowed. Also, Congressional Debate----in concert with any other event is problematic and, therefore, double entry is not allowed.

 

CONGRESS LEGISLATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY November 10th at NOON. Schools that submit legislation by the deadline will receive an email with all submitted legislation by TUESDAY November 11th. Submit legislation to Mr. Weston via email at westonmr@gm.sbac.edu.

 

Tournament Registration Info:

Registration is open on Speechwire—please get your entries in no later than November 13th, Thursday by noon.

Please make your DROPS no later than the Friday, November 14th, noon deadline (to avoid additional fees) and definitely before you arrive at the tournament. Even if it’s at 5am or 6am, DROPS of students and/or judges--please relay changes as soon as you know them. DROP FEES include a forfeiture of the entry fee and the penalty fee beginning on 10/14, Friday, noon.

NO DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT ADDS are allowed.

We have to pay and feed hired judges. Please don’t drop judges the morning of. No judges means no events. 

School checks for tournament fees should be made out to Samuel W. Wolfson High. Personal checks will not be accepted.  

All Judges must be available for all events for the full day. We will be gentle when we can but if we want to depart for home before 7-8pm we need flexibility in our judges.

 

Food at the tournament:

Our host school has always provided great options for concessions and lunch. Please be sure your students bring CASH and have small bills for purchases. Lunch will be from 11:30am-12:30pm. Also, please remember that snacks and concessions are the way that host schools are able to make judge hospitality possible. If anyone in your group has dietary restrictions, please have them bring their own food items.
