Pickerington High School North invites you to attend its 1st ever HS and MS Speech and Debate Tournament to be held on January 31st, 2026. We WILL be offering all OSDA Middle School events as well. Policy WILL be offered at this time. 

 

Entry fee is $6.00 per student and $12.00 per team event.  There is a technology/custodial fee as this tournament is our main fundraiser for team funding which is a flat $30.00.  There are NO caps in events and we should have no issue accommodating everyone who would like to compete.

 

Checks should be made out to Pickerington High School Central. This will ensure that checks make their way to my mailbox to submit accordingly. We accept cash or checks!

 

All events are in-person.

 

Please register ONLY those that you truly believe will be competing! Deadline for drops is Thursday, January 29th at 5 p.m.  Drops after that time will be assessed the $6 drop fee.

 

At this time, there will be no judges for hire. If you have any issues filling judges, please let me know and I will do my best to support where I can. I will update this if judges become available.

 

 

 

 

Entry Deadline: Registration must be received no later than Thursday January 29th @ 5pm.  If you have adds after that point, please add them in Speechwire but email me so that I know in case this adds sections. Please register as soon as possible so that I have an idea on preliminary numbers.

                                    $12 per Public Forum team

 

                                    $6 per Lincoln Douglas debater

 

                                    $6 per Individual Events contestant

 

                                    $12 per Duo Interp. Entry

 

                                    $6 per Congress Entry

 

                     

 

Food will be available for purchase in our commons area and from hired food trucks. We will have Hogs and Hunnies along with Pitabilities. Please stay on campus so that we can ensure a smoothly run tournament.

 

 

 

Judges:                       You must provide:

 

                                    High School:

 

                                    1 for each 1 or  2 Public Forum Teams

 

                                    1 for each 1 or 2 Lincoln Douglas Debaters

 

                                    1 for every 5 IE speakers

 

                                    1 for the 5 entries in Congress

 

                              

 

Topics: The national topic for January/February will be used for LD and Public Forum.  The Congress docket can be found on the OSDA Website. The Middle School PF topic is located on the OSDA website.
