Glenbrook North Tournament of Heroes

The Glenbrook North Speech Team invites you to the Tournament of Heroes Varsity Invitational on Saturday, January 31, 2026. All 14 IHSA events will be featured, and we will adhere to IHSA rules. Trophies will be given to all final round participants, and charitable donations will be made in the name of the top five (5) teams, based on final round results, in lieu of team trophies. Triple entries are allowed, but students will need to pay close attention to the schedule. We will not hold rounds for late speakers.

FEE: Entry fees are as follows:
1-14 entries = $150
15-28 entries = $200
29-42 entries = $250
43+ entries = $300
We ask that all entry fees be paid at tournament check-in or mailed beforehand to:
Glenbrook North HS Speech ATTN: Sarah Ilie, Speech 2300 Shermer Road Northbrook IL 60062 JUDGES: Please bring one (1) judge for every six (6) entries, rounding up for fractions. We will be using e-ballots so judges should bring a WiFi-capable device and use the district guest network. Coaches have the ability to update event preferences, availability, and clean/neutral details about judges so please provide us with as much (or as little) information about your judges as you want! EXTEMP and RADIO: Extemp will have a 30 minute prep for EVERY round (please see IHSA rules regarding internet usage). Radio will have a 45 minute prep for Round 1 & 2 (reuse for Round 3), then a new prep for the final round. TOPICS: If you can, please submit IS & ES topics (10 each). MEALS: Breakfast, snacks, beverages, and lunch will be sold in the student cafeteria. Snacks and lunch will be provided for the judges/coaches in the faculty cafeteria.
