Dear Coaches and Friends,

 

We are excited to once again host The Panther Classic! This tournament will give your team another great opportunity to compete against students from across the state. We are also thrilled to announce that The Panther Classic is once again a NIETOC national bid tournament!

 

 

Registration:

 

Registration is open, and you may add or drop entries until Wednesday, February 25 at 5:00 PM. After that time, please contact me via email (madisonglause@npsne.org) or phone (308-227-1831) for any late adds or drops.

 

Schools are required to provide one judge for every five entries. Entry fees are $8.00 per event. Students may triple-enter at the coach’s discretion, and there will be an individual sweepstakes award.

 

 

Events:

 

We will follow NSAA guidelines for all Nebraska events and will honor the longest time limits for each event (OID = 15 minutes, Duet/Duo = 12 minutes, Informative = 10 minutes) to accommodate the different classes attending this tournament.

 

We will be using electronic draw for both Extemp and Impromptu.

 

The ONLY NSAA rule we will not be enforcing is the exceeding grace period penalty. If a student exceeds the 30-second grace period, they will be ineligible to receive 1st place. This is the only penalty students will face for going over time.

 

 

Other:

 

A wide array of concession food and drinks will be available in the lobby near the gymnasium. All food and drinks must remain in the commons area.
