You are cordially invited to the Fourth Annual Cass Lake-Bena Early Speech Extravaganza!
We have pushed the traditional start time back by 30 minutes to accommodate any extra drive time and ease us into the grueling early Saturday morning schedule ahead.

Date: Saturday, January 17, 2026
Location: Cass Lake-Bena High School (app. one mile south of town off of Highway 371)
Categories: 13 MSHSL Categories
Format: 3 straight rounds, DOUBLE ENTRIES ALLOWED, except Discussion (You MUST still be able to fill your judge requirement.)
Awards: Medals and Ribbons
Schedule: Registration: begins at 7:30 Main Entrance Commons
Draws: 9:00 Media Center
Round 1: 9:30
Round 2: 11:00
Round 3: 12:30
Awards: 2:30 (or hopefully earlier)
Entry Fee: $6 per entry (Each Duo counts as one entry)
Checks to: Cass Lake-Bena
Judges: 1 judge per 6 entries or portion thereof (1-6 entries = 1 judge; 7-12 = 2; 13-18 = 3; 19-24 = 4...)
PLEASE BRING ENOUGH JUDGES BASED ON YOUR ENTRIES AS OF THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE, as I have an EXTREMELY limited number of judges for hire at $100.
Food: A concession stand will be provided.
(Food will be provided for Coaches, Judges, and Bus Drivers)
Registration Deadline: Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
