TROJAN WAR LIVE DOC

 

Dear Speech Coaches:

 

We are excited to invite you to the Wayzata Trojan War on Saturday, January 31, 2026.   We would love to host you!

 

Entries/Fees: The cost is $7.00 per entry.  Checks can be made to Wayzata High School, Attn: Speech Team.  Double and Triple entries are allowed, though students should not be entered in more than one draw event or a draw event and discussion. Discussion rounds will be offset by 15 minutes to allow those students to double enter in another prepared event. Every category will be capped at 100 entries and we will accept wait listed entries as space allows.

 

Categories: We will offer the 13 MSHSL events as well as POI and Impromptu

 

Judges:  You will need to provide one judge for every six (6) entries or fraction thereof. Uncovered judge slots will cost $100 each.  Please make every effort to provide the required number of judges based on your entries prior to drops.

 

Entry Deadline:   Please submit your initial entries by Friday, January 23rd. If you need to make changes, please submit drop/adds on Speechwire by Thursday, January 29 at 11:59pm. Changes can still be made up until Saturday morning, but all drops after 11:59 pm on January 29th will not result in a change on the statement.

 

Divisions: All students will compete together during prelims, but we will have both Novice and Varsity finals along with the appropriate number of final rounds based on entry numbers. We are also a NIETOC bid tournament this season so we will hold final rounds accordingly.

Storytelling: Stories 1-12
