Dear Speech Coaches, 

 

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Speech Team invites you to the Talk of the Tigers Invitational. We would be thrilled to have your team join us for an enthralling day of competition, which will be held at the Browerville School. 

 

We will be offering all thirteen MSHSL categories, impromptu speaking, and POI.

 

This year we are a NIETOC bid tournament! NIETOC will be in Shakopee, MN May 8-10th. The number of bids awarded per category will be determined by the number of entries in that category. 

 

Discussion tasks will come from sections I and II economic and social fragmentation.

 

Team awards will be given to the top three schools. Team trophies will be calculated in the following manner: each contestant will contribute to their team's score, which will then be divided by the number of entries. Double entries will be accepted (triple for experienced speakers), but only one draw category, please.

 

Medals will be awarded to all finalists. 

 

If your coaches are not judging, we would love your help and assistance. Please let us know in an email. seckel@browerville.k12.mn.us

 

The initial registration deadline will be Monday, February 9th. Please submit your payment when you check-in at the tournament. Make checks payable to Browerville High School-Speech Team. Please provide 1 judge for every 6 entries. If you wish to hire judges from us, we will need to know ASAP. We will do our best to accommodate. The cost will be $110 for each uncovered judge. 

 

Concessions will be available as well as Italian sodas from the Coffee Club. Food will be provided for all judges, coaches, and bus drivers.
