Dear Coaches and Competitors,

The Speech Team at Indiana University Bloomington invites you to participate in our first asynchronous tournament: Open The Sample Gates! from November 12th to November 15th, 2025. While our team in Bloomington, Indiana hosts this tournament, we invite collegiate teams from across the country to take part in our tournament.

Our tournament is fully asynchronous and will utilize video links for rounds. In the future, we hope to bring our tournament to life. With the aim of opening the iconic Sample Gates to in-person speech tournaments, we are taking baby steps with online competition first and raising funds for our team along the way.

In total, all 11 NFA speech events will take place asynchronously throughout the week.
