Dear Speech Coach,                                                     

 

 

You are invited to attend the D230 Flavortown Forensics Feast Speech Tournament on Saturday, December 6, at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park.  It's going to be deliciously fun!  We're double judging a round AND going full E-Ballot to make the day faster and more efficient for all. Yum!!  Last year's D230 tourney at Andrew was hybrid e-ballot and paper and we still were done with awards by 3!  We encourage you to register as soon as possible!

Since we're going with a food theme, we'd love your team to submit one or two favorite recipies and we'll put a packet together for each team - I'll share it electronically as well. 

 

STRUCTURE:    Two prelims and a final(and next-in finals depending on how they break).  First round will begin at 8:30 a.m.  

 

ENTRY:       You may enter two speakers in each event.

                              If a team desires more entries, enter them and await approval. 

 

JUDGES:       One judge is required for every five entries.

 

FEES:       Entry is $175.00 per team of team up to 2 speakers. 

                      Entry is $225.00 per team of team up to 3 speakers. 

                      Entry is $300.00 for a team of up to 4 speakers.

                      Please make all checks payable to Carl Sandburg High School Speech Team.

 

 

AWARDS:        Team trophies will be awarded to the top five teams. All finalists will

                         receive awards.  

 

RULES:                Contestants will prep once for prelims, and once for finals.

                               One round will be double-judged in ALL EVENTS

                               Ext. and Radio: Contestants will prep once for prelims, and once for finals.

                              Please submit topics.

                               JUDGES WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN DEVICE FOR SUBMITING RANKS.

 

 

LUNCHES:         Lunches and snacks will be available for purchase.  

 

DEADLINE:         Entry deadline is Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
