We are excited to invite your team to the Blaine Bengal Speech Tournament on March 14th, 2026!

 

We will off all MSHSL events and POI.  We are excited to be a NIETOC bid tournament host.

Fees will be  $7.00 per entry (Duos will count as one entry).

Speakers may double enter, but a student may not enter two draw events or a draw event and discussion. Experienced speakers wishing to triple enter may do so; however, triple-entered speakers may only compete in one draw event and may NOT participate in discussion.

 

Discussion tasks will come from areas III and IV.  Draws for storytelling and extemp reading will come from the entire list provided by the MSHSL.

 

There will be finals in all events with awards to the finalists. When numbers warrant (based on NIETOC guidelines), we will hold next-in and/or merit  and/or consolation finals in all events with awards for those competitors.  We will have awards for the top placing teams.  

 

You will need to bring one judge per six entries or fraction thereof. 

 

Registration: We will have registration open until we reach 500 entries. Please register as soon as possible to ensure attendance. Once we reach our cap, we will try to accommodate adds as drops as they come in, but we can't guarantee entry. Please register both competitors and judges on Speechwire.com no later than Thursday, March 12th, at 4:00 pm. Drops after this date will not lower your registration fee. Adds may be possible the day of the tournament depending on numbers.
