Tournament of Heroes
General information This is a High School tournament in Illinois. View manager contact information Hello Coaches! The TF North High School Speech Team would like to invite your team to the 5th annual Tournament of Heroes on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026! We would love to have you join us for a weekend of heroic, and a little villainous, Novice and Varsity competition. We will have three prelim rounds, finals and next-in finals. We look forward to having you be a part of this tournament! SCHEDULE: 8:00AM Round 1: DDA, DI, HDA, HI, IMP, INF, OC, OD, OO, POE, PRO, SOS 8:45AM Radio Prep 9:00AM EXT Prep 9:30AM Round 1: ES, RS Round 2: DDA, DI, HDA, HI, IMP, INF, OC, OD, OO, POE, PRO, SOS 11:00 AM Round 2: ES, RS Round 3: DDA, DI, HDA, HI, IMP, INF, OC, OD, OO, POE, PRO, SOS 12:15PM Radio Prep 12:30 PM EXT Prep 1:00 PM Final round: DDA, DI, ES, HDA, HI, IMP, INF, OC, OD, OO, POE, PRO, RS, SOS ENTRIES: Three round time slots with finals and Next-In final rounds. All fourteen IHSA events will be offered PREP: Radio and EXT speakers will prep once for the preliminary rounds and again for finals. Impromptu will be run according to the state rules with 2 minutes for prep and 6 for speaking. Prep will be in the room with the judge. AWARDS: The top two scoring contestants in each event will count toward your total team point tabulation, there will be team trophies for the top 5 teams. Individual awards will be given to the top six finishers in each event. There will also be a top novice award in each category. FEES AND JUDGES: Each school should plan to provide one judge for every 6 entries. Judging: Each team will need to furnish the following number of judges based on individual entries: 1 – 6 Entries: 1 judge 7 – 12 Entries: 2 judges 13 – 18 Entries: 3 judges 19 – 24 Entries: 4 judges 25 – 30 Entries: 5 judges 31 – 36 Entries: 6 judges 37 – 42 Entries: 7 judges 43 – 48 Entries: 8 judges If it is beyond these entries, please pay close attention to the number of judges needed to support your number of entries. The Base entry fee is $175.00 for 1-28 29-42 entries is $200.00 43+ entries is $250.00 PAYMENT: Entry Fee checks should be made payable to TF North High School Speech Team 755 Pulaski Ave., Calumet City, IL., 60409. All entries and numbers, add and drops should be in and updated by noon on Friday, January 2, 2026 There will be more information in the coming weeks!
