We're excited to invite you to the Gilmour Academy Novice Tournament on October 18, 2025, in Gates Mills, Ohio.
We welcome high school and middle school novices, as well as experienced middle schoolers, to experience the excitement, joy, and lessons in resiliency provided by forensics competition.
Is my high school student a novice? High school students with some middle school tournament experiences are welcome to compete as novices. A student with high school tournament experience, regardless of event, is not considered a novice for Gilmour's Tournament.
Experienced varsity may be entered as judges.
We encourage your program’s parents, teaching colleagues, and team friends to shadow varsity judges to learn. In addition to attending the judge’s meeting at the start of October 18th, please share with your judges the amazing opportunity we all share to encourage these new speakers, debaters, and interpers.
If this is your program's first tournament or first tournament since 2020, please reach out if you need "loaner judges" to help make this experience possible for your students.
Heavy concessions will be sold. Students are welcome to bring in their own snacks.
NOVEMBER NSDA debate resolutions to be used at this tournament for PF/LF. OSDA NOVEMBER Middle School PF Resolution to be used.
