The Rosemount High School Speech Team is excited to invite you to the fourth annual Luck of the Irish Speech Tournament! This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. We will feature all 13 MSHSL categories along with Program Oral Interpretation (POI) and Impromptu and we will follow NSDA  Double entry is welcome (even in Discussion), though students may not double enter into two draw events. Triple entry is allowed for seasoned competitors.

Throughout the day, we will have a judges’ and coaches’ lounge with food provided, plus concessions available for students, coaches, and judges.

Cost

• $7.00 per entry

• Please finalize all drops/adds by Tuesday, March 3rd

• Drops after this date will still be responsible for entry fees

Judges

• 1 judge is required for every 6 entries

• Uncovered judges: $100 each

Draw Events & Discussion

• Discussion: Topics will come from sections III and IV of the outline

• Storytelling: All stories will be used

• Extemp Reading: Students should be prepared for all poems (for Poetry) and all stories (for Prose)
