Welcome to another awesome SWIFA Circuit Tournament - the Central High School Invitational!

Events: all Speech Events, Congress, WSD, and "Poke Fun at Joe Nelson" (always a crowd pleaser!)

 

Lauren McDaniel and Joe Nelson will run the meet.  Be easy on them as we are trying to get more SWIFA coaches familiar with how to run SW for meets!

Judges:

1:4 for speech entries

1:2 for debate entries

 

Broadcasting:

Rounds 1-2:  News Program (5 min)

Round 3: Breaking News (2 min prep, 2 min performance)

Final: Editorial (30 min prep, 2 min performance)

 

 

 

Congressional Debate:

The state congressional docket can be found in Files for Download.  There will be a morning and afternoon round.  During the morning round, the students will debate the Prelim bills (Tariffs, Child Soldiers, and Pharamceutical Drugs) and the afternoon, the students will debate the Semifinal bills (Palestine, Screen Limit, and AI).  In each round, the representatives will determine the order of the bills; however, there will be hard deadlines in each round. 

 

World Schools Debate

Round 1:  Impromptu

Round 2: This House Believes an America-first economic policy is good for Indiana.

Round 3:  This House Believes an America-first economic policy is good for Indiana.

Final: This House Believes an America-first economic policy is good for Indiana.
