We are excited to host you in Osceola on Friday! Here is some information about the day!

The first round starts at 8:30am. The doors will open at 7:30am. Drop off at the new gym by the Big “O”.  

Basic Schedule:

8:30AM Round 1 Flight A (Ent, Inf, OID, SP, Poe)

9:45AM Round 1 Flight B (Duet, Ext, POI, HP, Per)

11:00AM Round 2 Flight A

12:45AM Round 2 Flight B

2:00PM Finals Flight A

3:15PM Finals Flight B

4:45PM Awards

We are planning to run Champs (top 6) and Honors (top 12) finals for all 10 events. We would like to run Merit (top 18) finals for events with more than 40 entries, but it will depend on judge availability. 

The tabroom will be in Elementary Room 15. 

We will be using both the Elementary building (attached to the new gym) and the MS/HS building. Duet & OID will be in the Elementary, so OID boxes, tables, and chairs can be dropped off with the kids at the Big “O”.  It is a short walk between buildings, so bring a coat! Thankfully, the weather looks mild!

Extemp prep will be held in the High School gym. It will be a paper draw. The first draw is at 8:45am. 

We are using e-ballots so please make sure that your judges bring a device to type on. We know this may be new to some of you. Please feel free to stop in the tab room if you need any assistance!

We will be posting schematics, announcements, and finals breaks on a slideshow in the New Gym and commons areas. You can access the slideshow at anytime throughout the day at the following link: https://bit.ly/OsceolaSpeech 

Your students can also utilize the “subscribe” feature on Speechwire. Have your students scroll down to find the Osceola Invite information on the main SpeechWire website, hit the subscribe button, and then follow the steps to sign up for alerts for each of their events. This will enable the system to send your students (and anyone else who signs up) a text message or email when their room assignments are posted. Let the tabroom know if you need any assistance!

We know that there is a lot of illness going around and that drops are inevitable. Please email them to jena.ockander@gmail.com or text them to 402-366-3926 as soon as possible. 

Please feel free to reach out to Jena or Abby with any questions or concerns! Several of you have already talked to us about students who need to leave early for basketball. This is not a problem, but please remind us on Friday!
