Dear Speech Coaches,

The Minnewaska Area Speech Team would like to invite you to their annual speech invitational, Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at Minnewaska Area High School. This will entail 3 preliminary rounds and a final round. I ask schools to provide their judges at 1 for every 6 entries or a fraction thereof. All head coaches are welcome in the tab room, and I will ask assistant coaches to be willing to help with other duties as needed.

Cost will be $7.00/entry-Please make checks payable to Minnewaska Area Schools.

7:30-8:00 Registration-by the High School Office

8:30 Draws begin for round I; media center

8:45 Judges meeting

9:00 Round I

9:15 Discussion Round I

10:00 Draws for round II; media center

10:30 Round II

10:45 Discussion Round II

11:30 Draws for round III; media center

12:00 Round III

12:15 Discussion Round III

1:00 Draws for Final Round; media center

1:30 Final Rounds

1:45 Discussion Final Round

3:00 Awards

The registration deadline will be Wednesday, January 28th, and the drop/add deadline is 7:00 on Saturday, January 31st. Please send your registrations via speechwire.com and direct any questions to swelsch@isd2149.org. If you do not hear from me, I can be reached at (763) 222-7977.

Food will be available for the students to purchase at the concessions stand, and food will be provided for judges and coaches in the judges’ lounge. The speech student center will be in the cafeteria.

The Minnewaska Speech Team looks forward to seeing all of you on January 31st.
