Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of Queens College at the City University of New York (CUNY), our dedicated alumni, and the students of the Queens College Speech and Debate Society, it is with great excitement that we welcome you to the inaugural 2025 Queens College Alumni Tournament on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

This historic event marks the first alumni-centered tournament hosted by Queens College, bringing together our vibrant community of students, coaches, and alumni in a celebration of forensics excellence. The QC Alumni Tournament will feature all 11 AFA-NST events alongside IPDA Debate, with all points and tabulations conducted according to AFA-NST procedures. Competitors will participate in two preliminary rounds of individual events, with the top six advancing to finals. In addition, we are pleased to offer:

·        Individual Speaker Awards for the top three competitors entering at least four events in Patterns A & B.

·        Sweepstakes Awards for the top three schools.

We are equally honored to share that on the following day, Sunday, October 26, 2025, Queens College will host the Southern and Northern Atlantic Forensic Union (SNAFU) Tournament, making this an extraordinary weekend of competition and camaraderie on our campus.

We are deeply grateful to our alumni and supporters whose commitment to Queens College Speech and Debate has made this moment possible. It is our hope that this tournament not only provides an opportunity for spirited competition, but also for mentorship, connection, and the strengthening of our forensic community.

For full entry information, please consult the official invitation. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Randy Perez at qcspeechteam@gmail.com or 516-858-3156.

We look forward to welcoming you to Queens College this October for a weekend of competition, reunion, and celebration.

Warmly,

Randy Perez, Tournament Director                             Maim Hoque, Assistant Debate Coach
