Greetings from BBE! Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Public Schools is excited to announce we are hosting our (hopefully) annual speech tournament "BBE Jag-tastic Invitational" on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at the BBE High School in Belgrade. We are excited to try our hand at hosting!

 

We are dedicated to providing solid feedback to our speakers. Please provide your judges with tools on how to focus on meaningful feedback. Check out this handout if needed (Speech Judging for Dummies). We want this to be a FUN tournament, so we will be having a couple of additional events (Duo Improv., games while waiting for awards, separating varsity & novice speakers in each category, & recognizing our seniors).

Our BBE district focuses on the idea of Jaguar PRIDE. Please nominate the student that embodies dispositions of Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination, & Excellence. These students will be recognized during our awards ceremony.

 

This tournament will have 3 prelim rounds with finals and honors finals (if enough entries) with awards for 1st through 6th place in each. Teams need to enter 1 judge for every 6 entries. Additional judges will be available for a fee of $100 per. Entry fees are $7.00 per entry. Please have all students & judges registered by Thursday, February 13th at 6:00pm and drops by Friday, February 14th at 6:00pm.

Team Drop Off and Pick up: Door 1 on the east side of the building. Buses can park in this east parking lot. 

Refreshments: Food will be provided for the drivers, coaches, and judges in the Judges’ Lounge (FACS Room). Concessions will be available for the competitors.

A live doc with additional information will be sent to all coaches no later than one week before our meet.
