Hello! 
 
On behalf of the Dublin Jerome, Dublin Coffman, Dublin Scioto, and Dublin Consolidated Middle School Teams, you are officially invited to attend the 1st Annual Dublin Celtic Classic Speech and Debate Tournament. The tournament will take place on November 15th (Policy) and November 16th (All Events).
 
*******This is a TOC/NIETOC bid qualifier tournament for Speech events (pending entry numbers)!!!********

When:
 
November 15th (Policy Debate)
 
November 16th (All OSDA HS and MS events) 
 
Where: 
 
Virtual-Policy Debate 
 
Dublin City Schools Campus- All other events (Please see tournament invitation for specific event locations)
 
Who:
 
All HS and MS programs are invited to attend. We will make room for your entries as long as your judges cover them. 
 
We specifically chose a later start time to accommodate out-of-district teams. If your team requires any other accommodations to attend, please reach out! 
 
We will allow double entry in ALL speech events. This includes extemp.
* Please note for extempers- if they are entered in USX and IX- the tournament will not adjust its schedule for them. This may lead to <30 minutes of prep time. 
 
 
 
Judges:
 
Debate- 1 judge for every 2 entries or fraction thereof (ex. 3 entries = 2 judges) 
 
Speech/Congress- 1 judge for every 5 entries or fraction thereof (ex. 6 entries = 2 judges)
 
Fees:
 
There is NO team/base fee 
 
Programs in their first year of competition are invited to attend for FREE. If you believe you qualify for this exemption, please contact the tournament host prior to attending. 
 
6.00 per student entry. (PF/Duo/Policy = 12.00 per entry)
 
Awards:
 
Awards will be held after the conclusion of the final rounds. We hope to offer special recognition for novice entries and our virtual competitors. 
 
Meals:
 
We will have a robust concession stand running all day. PLEASE NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGE. We will offer a variety of vegetarian and diet-friendly options as well. 
Judge hospitality will be provided by the Dublin teams.
