The Howland Forensics program is pleased to be hosting the Youngstown Winterfest on Saturday, January 20, 2024.  This will be a full in-person event. All competition will occur at the high school-- 200 Shaffer Drive, Warren, Ohio 44484

 

Currently, we are offering 3 rounds in all IE and Debate. We will be hosting a student congress.  There will be no final congress (each chamber will award their top three speakers)  Please separate your congress folks as varsity and JV.  We anticipate two chambers.

 

We are also offering most Middle School events (no BQD or congress).

 

We will NOT be offering BQD, PF or Policy.  

 

Registration is Due by 3:00 pm on Monday, January 15th.  Drops after that time will be charged.

Cost per student is $4.00. CHECKS PAYABLE TO HOWLAND BOOSTER CLUB

 

Debate and Congress will use NSDA topics and OSDA congress docket for 1/20/24.

 

Enter as many students as you like in all events. DOUBLED ENTRIES PERMITTED.  Mark 3 entries in each event as varsity.  

 

Concessions will be open in our athletic wing.  We are hosting a large wrestling tournament, so they should be well-stocked. Awards will be medals and certificates.

Awards: 12:30/1:00  PLEASE ARRANGE TRANSPORTATION FOR AN EARLY DAY...we were done by 12:30 at our last event.

 

Please confirm your school's attendance and tentative numbers ASAP.

 

All other logistics will be sent once we get tentative numbers and interested schools.
